Events at the Brewery:

The Country Wife - performed by the Rooftop Theatre Company

14-22 June (exc 18th)

7.30pm

This racy and ribald comedy is a classic of the Restoration period when society was unshackled and creativity let loose. The result is a hilarious comedy about sex, venereal disease, marriage and status. It fizzes with life in the interactions between the characters and the farcical situations they find themselves in.

For our first Restoration comedy we will channel our fresh and energetic approach to drama and bring the play to life for the modern audience. We are lauded for making Shakespeare accessible, entertaining and compelling and we’ll be using all our experience with another William, Mr Wycherley and his mad masterpiece.

Tickets available online or from the Assembly Rooms & are £15/ £11(U18 & students).

How do you turn acoustic singalongs into arena anthems? Give them to four sharp young lads from Bath, pop-rock newbies Saint Loe! A quartet of vocal harmony talent, and masterly musicians to boot their blue-eyed ballads seethe with passion. They convincingly bring a modern-day pop sound back to the live band scene, but whilst you may experience a whiff of nostalgia, Saint Loe have a look and sound that is excitingly and authentically theirs.

With support from a great local band too, BIG SHOES!
