Chris Jagger will be taking to the South Shropshire Blues Club Stage with his band ‘The Kronies’ this May! Besides writing and touring Europe with his band, Chris has recently written and presented a three part series for BBC Radio on Alexis Korner, the pioneering blues musician and broadcaster. He has also finished a film for Sky Arts on The Blues in Austin Texas with guest contributions from some of the finest and most respected blues musicians including Muddy Waters pianist Pine Top Perkins, Hubert Sumlin who worked with blues singer Howlin’ Wolf and guitarist Jimmy Vaughan.

Chris Jagger & The Kronies, including David Hatfield on Double Bass (Kursaal Flyers, Jerry Douglas, Flaco Jimenez, Arlo Guthrie,Rose Maddox + lots more!) and Elliet Mackrell (Kangaroo Moon) on the Fiddle and Didgeridoo have performed across the country for the past two years. They’ve been recognised as playing soulful and tuneful music mostly with Chris’s own tunes but including a smattering of Cajun, country, hillbilly and the Irish thrown in.

They are happy to play for dancing or just listening to and the combination of guitars, drums, double bass and fiddle together with their voices adds up to an evening to be enjoyed by all.
