Male Voice Choir

October 25th

Ludlow Male Voice Choir Charity Concert

The popular Ludlow Male Voice Choir will be adding song to the autumn mists and mellow fruitfulness at a charity concert at Ludlow Brewery on Friday 25th October.

Singing in support of The League of Friends of Ludlow Hospital, LMVC will be dipping into their extensive and ever-widening repertoire to entertain all tastes and ages.

Fans of The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Simon and Garfunkel will be treated to hits like Penny Lane, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Bridge Over Troubled Water and The Sound of Silence.

Lovers of West End Musicals will hear great songs from Les Miserables, including Do You Hear The People Sing?, I Dreamed a Dream, the haunting Bring Him Home and the stirring Anthem from the hit show Chess, written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus from ABBA, plus Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Policeman’s Song and Speed Your Journey, from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Nabucco.

The great tradition linking male voice choirs with Welsh hymns will be celebrated as LMVC offer the beautiful Gwahoddiad, now established as one of the choir’s signature tunes, as well as the rousing Calon Lan and the lilting Myfanwy.

LMVC is open to all, always on the lookout for new members and grateful for the support of Benson’s Jewellers in Ludlow, invaluable in enabling the choir to cover costs incurred in rehearsing and securing performing rights.

Ludlow Male Voice Choir concert, in support of The Friends of Ludlow Hospital, Ludlow Brewery, Friday 25th October at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £7.50, available from Ludlow Brewery in advance or on the door.
